Our men’s soccer program is rich in tradition that spans almost 50 years. We believe that the non-soccer experiences that we provide are just as important to our student-athletes' education.
We want to thank past donors who have helped our University and athletic department with continued excellence. Through our men’s soccer fundraising efforts, we were able to upgrade our team locker room under Pepin Stadium and start the plans for our second trip abroad in Spring 2027. In 2023, we took our men’s soccer team to Costa Rica for pre-season, and it was an incredible experience for our student-athletes and staff. We formed a lifetime bond with our hosts Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (LDA), who are members of the Costa Rican Primera Division.
We are looking at three options for travel next spring: Argentina, Spain or Costa Rica. All money raised through this collective UTampa Giving Day Minaret Climb will go directly to our men’s soccer program and support UTampa’s mission to create a life-changing impact on our University community! This year, your gift will enable our program to reach new heights while developing our athletes into Spartan leaders. Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $15,000. I know as a collective endeavor we can make a real and tangible difference that will contribute to a lasting, positive impact on current and future generations of UTampa student-athletes.
